Mission

Our mission is to be a resource for parents/caregivers from the start. Once we are notified of a newborn screen testing positive for Cystic Fibrosis, we will mail you a “care package.”

Our mission is to be a resource for parents/caregivers from the the time of diagnosis. Once we are notified of a newborn screen testing positive for Cystic Fibrosis, we will mail you a “care package” after you complete the request for a package. This package contains items that we intend to help with the transition of parenting a child with CF. The backpack will contain useful items to limit exposure to germs and to ultimately keep your kids healthy. This backpack is only the beginning of our relationship. We hope you will continue to visit our website and explore the other useful tools and links that we have and continue to work on.

Our blog will help you as parents to find a positive community, conversing with other parents and caregivers. Our nutrition will provide ideas to add calories and fat to meals. In this lifelong journey, you will come to realize that you are not alone. The CF community is extremely close knit and your involvement will allow that to hold true. Be active and stay involved. Together we fight! Together we can!

“I can still remember the moment having a son with cystic fibrosis became real.  The tests were done, the results were in, leaving my wife and I devastated.  Neither of us had ever known anyone with cf, or had any idea what was involved in caring for our newborn son.  Thankfully, we were blessed by the McKee family and their organization 2 Lungs 1 Fight, who stepped in to walk with us early in our journey.  Providing support, supplies and fellowship, they have become an important part of our lives and our fight.  With their help, we’ve gone from feeling alone and confused to feeling uniquely prepared to join the fight to cure cf.  Jarrod, Heather and the entire McKee family are an inspiration and a blessing to all of us.”
